The tri-meaning signal flag codes are Zulu, Delta, and numeral pennant number two (ZD2) which when hoisted together vertically on the main mast of a ship means... "Please report me to, Loyds, London" This famous old signal was originally used to report a vessel's position to Lloyds signal stations, Lloyds agents and other ships in the area to be eventually passed on for publication in 'Lloyds list' newspaper as shipping intelligence movements.
Based on the International regulations for communications codes and signals at sea. On the front centre of the mug is a vintage illustration of a Morse code operator key, the NATO phonetic spelling of each letter along with the Morse codes of the radiotelephony version of the message. This lovely, colourful mug is the perfect gift for nautical family members, maritime colleagues, boating friends, or anyone who loves ships and the sea
